RULES

Each team must have 3 females in the lineup, and no more than 3 males can bat in a row. The penalty is an automatic out in the part of the batting order missing a female batter.

Teams can choose to bat either 10 players with substitutions, or bat their full roster. (3 females still required to be part of the 10 batter line up).

If batting the full roster, teams can freely make defensive substitutions.

If using only 10 players, once a player is removed from the game by substitution, that player is not eligible to re-enter the game, unless necessitated by injury.

10 defensive players are allowed on the field, including 4 outfielders, a pitcher, and catcher.

Home teams for all games are predetermined by the schedule. In semi and finals, home team will be determined by coin flip by captains at home plate prior to the game.

Tie breakers will be decided by (in order): Head to head result, Runs Scored, Runs against, coin toss.

For all games, no new inning shall begin after 45 minutes of game time, and all games will have a hard stop at 55 minutes, however umpires may use discretion to finish an inning.

If an inning is started but not completed due to curfew, the score reverts to the previous inning. If the home team takes the lead in the last inning (past the 45 minute mark), the game ends immediately.

All games will be a maximum of 7 innings. There is a cap of 5 runs per team per inning, except in the last inning where unlimited runs are allowed.

The Semi Final and Final will have no new inning after 45 minutes, but there will not be a hard stop time on the final inning.

Base runners who step on home plate will be called out. Baserunners simply need to cross the home line.

Sliding IS ALLOWED in order to help prevent injury caused by sudden stops at bases. Baseball pants are encouraged if sliding.

Other standard softball rules will apply and will be enforced by the umpires.
